Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

We are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm (after hours by appointment) and Saturdays by appointment only.

Is your work guaranteed?

Prailey's offers a warranty on all our repairs for the life of your vehicle, as long as you own it. Contact us for specific details.

Do I have to get more than one estimate?

No, you don't! The insurance company may prefer the cheapest estimate, but that does not necessarily make it the best choice for your benefit. Any shop can give a lower price by leaving something out or overlooking parts.

Are your collision repair technicians certified?

Our technicians are I-CAR and ASE certified, supplied with state-of-the-art equipment, and trained in the latest repair techniques.

My insurance company told me I have to have my car repaired at a certain shop. Is this true?

No, you are not obligated to use any particular shop to obtain repairs. By law, you choose the collision center and authorize the repairs.

Can the insurance company make an adjustment or authorize repairs without my consent?

Absolutely not. You are the only one that can authorize repairs, because you are responsible for the cost of the repairs.

Do I have to take my car to a drive-in claims service?

No. You can leave your vehicle at a local collision repair shop like Prailey's, and request that the insurance company appraiser inspect your vehicle there. This is the most desirable option, especially if the damage is extensive or the vehicle needs towed.

Do I have to accept the insurance company's appraisal of damage?

No. Check the "Appraisal Clause" in your policy to find out how to resolve any differences or call us for help.

How do I get a claim number?

When you report your accident to your insurance company, you will be given a claim number. Be sure to write this number down and bring it to Prailey's.

If my deductible is not waived, how do I pay it?

Your deductible should be paid to Prailey's. Call your insurance agent if you are unsure whether your deductible has been waived by your insurance company or whether it is your responsibility to pay the deductible.

Can other services be performed on my vehicle while it is in for repair?

Absolutely! If you'd like any additional services performed on your vehicle while it is in our shop for repair, let us know when you bring it in, so we can make arrangements to have these services coincide with the repair.

How long will my repairs take?

Each repair is different as there are factors such as the extent of the damage. We will give you an estimate of the time to complete the repair.

Do you provide pick-up and delivery services?

Yes. If you are unable to deliver or pick up your vehicle, please call us so we can make special arrangements.

Do you offer towing services?

We can make arrangements to have your vehicle towed to our shop from the scene of the accident or from the towing destination.

Do you provide rental cars?

Yes. For your convenience we have new, low mileage rental vehicles available on-site. Drive away in your new rental while your car is being repaired, and return it to our shop when we're done. It's as simple as that, and our rates are competitive with major rental agencies.

What other services do you provide?

See our Services page to find out more about the various services we offer.

Can other body shops use Prailey's frame equipment?

Body shops are welcome to take advantage of our equipment by out sourcing their frame service to us. Please contact us for details.

How can I apply for a job at Prailey's?
